Senior Project Manager/Estimator

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Project Manager/Estimator to lead complex construction projects from initial estimating through successful completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage large-scale projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and deliver exceptional results. We are a well diversified pipeline construction, civil contracting, and ROW clearing company looking to expand into new markets such as pipelaying, government work, and utility type work as well as grow our current business. We are looking for an expert in helping us be more efficient and continue growing.

Duties

- Develop detailed project estimates utilizing construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.

- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals by analyzing schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately assess project scope and costs.

- Lead project planning sessions to establish realistic schedules using Primavera P6 or Primavera software, aligning resources and timelines effectively.

- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to facilitate seamless project execution from inception to completion.

- Oversee construction site activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and contractual obligations.

- Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and progress reports with precision.

- Monitor project progress through detailed scheduling and tracking tools; proactively address potential delays or issues to maintain momentum.

- Utilize construction management software for project tracking, resource allocation, and communication across all stakeholders.

- Conduct regular site visits to verify work quality, review blueprints on-site, and ensure compliance with schematics and design specifications.

- Lead negotiations on contracts and change orders to optimize project profitability while maintaining client satisfaction.

Experience

- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Estimator within the construction industry, managing large-scale projects from start to finish.

- Extensive knowledge of construction estimating techniques combined with proficiency in estimating tools such as HeavyBid or equivalent software.

- Strong expertise in project scheduling using Primavera P6 or Primavera; ability to develop detailed timelines aligned with project milestones.

- Demonstrated ability in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Civil 3D, and other relevant platforms for project coordination.

- Solid understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings essential for accurate estimation and onsite execution.

- Hands-on experience working on construction sites with a thorough understanding of safety practices and site logistics.

- Familiarity with contracts management including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contractual documents to mitigate risks.

- Excellent time management skills coupled with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
