Timberline Construction Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Project Accountant to join our Accounting team The ideal candidate will have knowledge of construction, project and payables processes within a high growth company. This staff member will be a key player in the success of the accounting team and TCG. The position will be located at our headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama and will work daily with the field staff, project managers, Controller and Managing Members.

Responsibilities
•Manage all client Contract and Change Order paperwork.
•Issue and reconcile all Contract, Change Orders, and Purchase Orders to subcontractors and vendors.
•Review/Approve/Code project expenses in our AP approval system.
•Oversee Subcontractor Pay Apps and review for accuracy, retainage, and lien releases.
•Maintain project budget, compare actual cost to projections and calculate expected gross margin.
•Generate and analyze project expense reports on a bi-weekly basis including remaining commitments.
•Ensure all info related to projects has been entered accurately and timely into Unanet accounting software.
•Document all project level information into the project operations database daily.
•Assist Project Managers maintain all required project trackers and reconcile for accuracy.
•Collect W9 and COI for all division vendors and subcontractors.
•Assist with audit requests and ensure accurate records are kept for all Project and AP Ledgers.
•Work daily with Project Admin, Project, and Division managers to provide insight into project performance.
•Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
•Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
•Prior construction experience is highly desired, but not required.
•Proficiency with Microsoft 365 products including Excel functions and familiarity with Access, Power BI and Sharepoint.
•Experience with Unanet, HCSS or other Project Management systems is an advantage but not required.
•Tech-savvy. Timberline is an integrated company and looking to utilize online platforms.
