Join our Financial Risk Management team as a Senior or Principal Analyst, where you’ll play a critical role in managing credit and financial risk across the Power Operations organization. This role combines analytical depth with operational execution, focusing on the evaluation and oversight of financial risk exposure of PGE.
You’ll be responsible for producing daily risk reports, validating forward price curves, and calculating and analyzing key risk metrics such as Profit and Loss (PnL) and Value at Risk (VaR). Your insights will support informed decision-making and help ensure the organization’s financial resilience.
You’ll also support the ongoing management of long-term contract review and collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate risk insights and support business objectives.

- Senior Analyst: Reviews daily transaction data and ensures accurate execution of end-of-day processes in the system of record. Develops and produces end-of-day risk reports, validates key metrics, and communicates with Power Operations to clarify changes or anomalies. Performs forecast updates within the system of record and estimates the position and PnL impacts. Tracks and documents reporting issues, following up to ensure timely resolution. Maintains consistent communication across teams to support operational integrity.
- Principal Analyst: Oversees and improves end-of-day reporting workflows and system execution processes. Identifies recurring issues and leads efforts to enhance data quality and operational reliability. Builds strong cross-functional relationships with Power Operations and other teams to ensure risk reporting is accurate, timely, and actionable. Develops documentation and best practices to support team consistency and long-term process improvements. Demonstrates a deep understanding of the structure and logic behind end-of-day reports and clearly articulates the rationale behind observed changes to ensure transparency and confidence in reporting.
- Senior Analyst: Conducts detailed financial and credit risk analyses, including daily PnL and VaR reporting. Supports counterparty/vendor credit reviews and contributes to the development of mitigation strategies (e.g., guarantees, letters of credit).
- Principal Analyst: Designs and improves risk analysis methodologies and reporting frameworks. Leads complex assessments involving structured transactions or emerging risk factors. Serves as a subject matter expert in interpreting VaR and PnL drivers across portfolios. Works with the quantitative analytics team when needed.
- Senior Analyst: Maintains and operates risk data tools and systems. Ensures data integrity for pricing, exposure, and risk metrics. Troubleshoots data issues and supports reporting needs.
- Principal Analyst: Designs and implements improvements to data infrastructure and analytics tools. Evaluates new technologies and contributes to long-term data strategy for risk management.
- Senior Analyst: Supports regulatory-related risk assessments and contributes to documentation for compliance.
- Principal Analyst: Evaluates regulatory changes for potential financial risk impacts. Coordinates with legal and regulatory teams to align risk mitigation strategies with evolving requirements.
As the team evolves, the successful candidate will be expected to adapt to evolving business needs and contribute to future enhancements including but not limited to, risk reporting, analytics, operational processes, credit exposure forecasting, and Gross Margin at Risk (GMaR) reporting.

Compensation Range:
$89,175.00 - $178,375.00
Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
