The company is looking for talented and self-motivated individuals to join its corporate development office in Toronto.
· Conduct due diligence and technical assessments for potential acquisitions, mergers, and investment opportunities.
· Utilize advanced mining software for mine modeling, production scheduling, and cost estimation to support strategic decision-making.
· Provide technical expertise in mine planning, design, and scheduling to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.
· Coordinate mining engineering projects, collaborating closely with geology, metallurgy, and operations teams to ensure integrated project development.
· Support corporate business development initiatives by actively participating in industry conferences, networking, and direct business development activities.
· Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance engineering and business development capabilities.
· Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is an asset.
· Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration in Canada.
· Minimum of 8 years of experience in mining engineering, with exposure to both underground and open-pit mining operations.
· Strong proficiency in mining software such as Deswik, Datamine, Micromine, Surpac, or equivalent tools.
· Experience in technical due diligence, project evaluation, and M&A activities within the mining sector.
· Expertise in mine equipment selection, capital and operating cost estimation, and financial modeling for mining projects.
· Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a strong business acumen.
