Role Summary:
Reporting to the Director, Technical Services, the Corporate Mine Engineer provides guidance on technical leadership and is responsible for supporting and driving operational efficiencies in the areas of mine planning, mine design optimization, reconciliation, feasibility studies, survey, geotechnical, geology, due diligence, capital cost estimation and technical report writing to support safe, sustainable and profitable mining operations. The Corporate Mine Engineer will support a broad range of projects, across our operations.
Responsibilities
•Serves as primary engineering liaison between corporate leadership, site teams and external stakeholders (consultants, regulators, JV partners).
•Leads the coordination of cross-functional teams to ensure that fully integrated mine plans are developed for open pit mine design.
•Develops metrics to measure compliance regarding regulatory requirements.
•Validates design criteria, conducts risk assessments, and ensures cost‑effective solutions are aligned with life‑of‑mine plans.
•Evaluates and implements new mining technologies and automation to improve safety and productivity.
•Analyses and interprets mining data towards continuous improvement.
•Provides technical oversight and expertise in all aspects of mining methods and major projects.
•Participates in due diligence reviews regarding potential merger and acquisition opportunities and supports business case development as required.
•Enhances management systems and standards across all mine technical disciplines.
•Leads the development and maintenance of financial cost models.
•Identifies and evaluates emerging technologies and leads pilot projects and facilitates technology transfer and adoption across sites.
•Acts as key point of contact regarding internal and external audit requests.
•Provides coaching and mentorship to junior engineers.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements
Education:
•University degree in Mining Engineering.
Skills:
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to engage, collaborate and influence stakeholders.
•Ability to present to C-Suite
•P. Eng, P.E., or similar designation
Experience:
•7-10 years minimum in the mining industry
•Expertise in Underground mining, with experience in Open Pit mining.

•Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment both directly and remotely, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
•Commitment to health, safety, environmental, and social responsibility standards
•Ability to travel domestically and internationally to remote sites (up to 30%).
•Ability to work in the office four days per week.
