Cascadia Scientific is a fast-growing Software as a Service (SaaS) company providing a class leading Energy Intelligence Platform to operators of High Horsepower mining equipment and locomotives. The company has developed an advanced IIOT platform that measures and analyses energy consumption of load/haul mining equipment and delivers insights to drive efficiency in operation. Reporting to the CEO, the LATAM Senior Mining Account Executive is responsible for all platform revenues associated with existing Spanish language platform subscribers. Success in this mission requires building and maintaining strong customer relationships grounded in quantifiable, platform driven, value capture. The SMAE is incentivised to secure existing revenues through renewal and significantly increase share of wallet by expanding fleet coverage and selling additional software modules, and direct services.
Critical to the success of the Senior Mining Account Executive will be the ability to socialize and advocate for the Cascadia Scientific program across mining departments including maintenance, operations, planning, finance and environment. Navigation of highly complex and bureaucratic purchasing, accounting and IT departments is also critical.
- Secure and increase revenues from strategic platform accounts
- Identify, propose, negotiate and close on expanded business
- Work within Cascadia Scientific’s sales structure to successfully document account activity and accurately forecast revenue growth
- Build and strengthen relationships with multiple stakeholders to increase the profile and embeddedness of the Cascadia Scientific program at all levels of the customer’s organization
- Carefully monitor and manage customer value perception to ensure continued platform participation - Uncover existing and developing customer priorities and initiatives that may provide opportunities for expansion or risk of churn
- Supported by regional team members in the areas of technical services, and customer success, oversee and coordinate work to:
1. Deploy and on-board equipment and platform tools
2. Set targets for energy efficiency, cost reduction and productivity gains
3. Develop plans for mine site interventions to achieve the established targets
- 5 or more years of experience as an account manager or sales executive with established track record of revenue growth
- Posses extensive experience in the mining sector, with 8+ years working directly for or selling to load haul mining operations- Familiarity with mining operational Technology (OT) software including dispatch systems, planning and maintenance tools
- Demonstrate exceptional Spanish and English Language communication skills
- Be physically capable and prepared to travel as necessary to customer mine sites through Spanish speaking Latin America, including to mines higher than 4000M
- University degree in a related commercial or technical field (Business, Mining, Engineering) or equivalent
- Have experience selling software products provided under a SaaS model
- Familiarity with the application of machine learning and statistical analytics to optimization problems
- Posses and understanding of energy efficiency and decarbonization initiatives and roadmaps being developed and implemented by major mining businesses
The job can be staffed out of our Vancouver HQ, or in a geographically convenient location in Latin America. Compensation for the role will reflect the the employees country of residence.
The stated compensation range includes commission based on-target earnings.
Cascadia Scientific will not sponsor candidates to relocate to Canada to perform this role. If staffed in Vancouver the candidate should have the legal standing to work in Canada.
