- Develop and maintain a database of subcontractors which tracks the status of their areas of expertise, geographic reach, qualification status and any other pertinent details.
- Administer and coordinate prioritization of subcontractor prequalification program
- Work closely with Project/Business Development team to forecast new market business and develop costs projection and strategies to support the EPC activities
- Prepare RFPs to potential Subcontractors, receive their proposals, and prepare price analysis / bid tabs
- Facilitate commercial negotiations by establishing Master Services Agreements with key partners and actively facilitate the discussions with potential services providers
- Develop pricing tools and database to support estimating team with compiling budgets for business development activities
- Develop and implement streamlined processes for issuing subcontracts
•Coordinate sourcing activities with Project Management and Construction to identify Scope of Work templates to minimize risk of change orders with Subcontractors •Trace and create metrics to evaluate subcontractor performance as well as potential market conditions
- Conduct periodic reviews of current subcontractors and service providers by obtaining metrics to evaluate performance as well as potential market conditions.
- Attend solar events, visit project sites or subcontractor locations to assess capabilities, validate qualifications and develop relationships.
- Work closely with Procurement Planning and Subcontracts Management teams to support the timely execution of EPC projects.
- Support and mentor Subcontract Management staff as required in the assembly and issuance of Subcontracts,
- Purchase Orders, Change Orders and other contracts management documents.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, economics or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and related experience.
- 8-10 years or more in Sourcing, Subcontracting or Supply Chain Management role(s) a plus
- 5 years or more of EPC or construction contracting experience preferred
- Renewable Energy, Power Plant, and/or EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) experience a plus
• Excellent communication and leadership skills• Good understanding of financials, negotiation and problem solving skills
Work is performed in an office environment and in the field. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist and lift up to 20 pounds. Intermittent travel to project sites, trade shows and vendor locations will be required.
