Job Summary:
The Sr. Manager, Maintenance and Reliability develops, optimizes, and implements equipment reliability strategies that ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of company assets. This leadership role focuses on preventive maintenance planning, development of key performance indicators (KPI), computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) coordination, root cause failure analysis, and acts as a subject matter expert (SME) liaison between field operations, engineering, and technical service teams.
Duties/Responsibilities:
•Develops and implements a value-driven preventative maintenance and reliability program.
•Establishes and monitors maintenance key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and reporting systems to enhance asset performance.
•Applies industry best practices and reliability methodologies to improve asset effectiveness and reduce maintenance costs.
•Optimizes preventive maintenance schedules by identifying gaps, creating corrective action plans, and evaluating outcomes.
•Provides support to field operations for major equipment overhauls and precision repairs of critical rotating equipment.
•Conducts troubleshooting and root cause failure analyses, implements corrective actions, and works to eliminate recurring failures.
•Participates in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and technical MRO suppliers and technical maintenance service providers. Develops acceptance tests and inspection criteria.
•Assists regional field operations with maintaining critical spare parts inventory for rotating equipment.
•Supports capital projects with rotating equipment expertise for specification, design, and construction of projects based on reliability improvements and industry best practices.
•Administers and provides operational support for company CMMS software and other reliability software applications.
•Ensures best practices in CMMS utilization, including developing and maintaining accurate preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
•Analyzes CMMS data to drive reliability improvements and reduce maintenance expenditures.
•Works with various vendors for supplying lube oils and chemicals for inventory management.
•Develops preliminary work scopes, estimates, budgets, and authorization for expenditures (AFEs).
Required Skills/Abilities:
•Strong diagnostic skills in machinery vibration and mechanical troubleshooting.
•Expertise in root cause analysis and reliability-centered maintenance strategies.
•Solid understanding of mechanical systems, inspection practices, and maintenance optimization.
•Proven experience in maintenance planning, performance tracking, and CMMS administration.
•Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical writing skills.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with data visualization or reporting tools is highly desirable.
•Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to work across field and corporate functions.
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial technology, industrial maintenance, or related discipline
•Equivalent experience may be considered with 10+ years of relevant maintenance and reliability leadership
•Minimum of 10 years’ experience in rotating equipment design, maintenance, application, and reliability engineering, preferably within the midstream oil & gas sector
•Formal training in natural gas compression, engine systems, or mechanical disciplines is preferred
