How You’ll Make an Impact

The Senior Manager, Identity and Access Management (IDAM) is a key leader in the organization, responsible for designing and overseeing a comprehensive IAM strategy that safeguards critical systems, data, and applications. This role will oversee a team of IDAM professionals executing processes and initiatives that ensure only authorized users and devices have appropriate access to the organization’s resources, while enhancing operational efficiency through automation and streamlined processes. The Senior Manager will also oversee the IDAM Engineering team, driving the implementation of best-in-class technologies, such as multi-factor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO), identity governance and administration (IGA), and privileged access management (PAM), ensuring secure access for employees, contractors, customers, and vendors across global operations.

As a strategic partner to both IT and business units, the Senior Manager will align IDAM initiatives with the organization’s broader security and compliance goals, playing a pivotal role in meeting regulatory requirements such as SOX, GDPR, and other international cyber security standards and frameworks such as the NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF). The individual in this role will proactively identify and address vulnerabilities within the IDAM landscape, continuously improving the organization's security posture while balancing user convenience and security.

This role also involves developing and enforcing IDAM governance frameworks, policies, and procedures, ensuring that identity and access management aligns with evolving business objectives and mitigates risks posed by emerging threats. The Senior Manager will lead a high-performing IDAM team, fostering collaboration across departments, and working closely with executive leadership to deliver secure and scalable access solutions. The position demands a forward-thinking leader who can navigate the rapidly changing IAM ecosystem while ensuring robust protection of the organization's most valuable assets.


Responsibilities Include

Expertise in SAP Security Role Design and Access Structuring - Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable security role structures in SAP/S4 global environments, aligning access controls with organizational processes, roles, and risk-based considerations. Brings a strategic vision and experience in structuring access regionally, by plant, and functionally, while incorporating segregation of duties (SoD) principles and regulatory requirements. Understands and applies best practices for role design based on business processes rather than organizational hierarchy, ensuring effective and secure user access. Proficient in leveraging SAP GRC solutions to manage risks, enforce policies, and monitor access, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement of the security framework.
Provide visionary leadership for the Identity and Access Management team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Be accountable for the recruitment, development, and retention of top talent, ensuring the team is well-equipped to meet the organization’s goals. Mentor and coach team members to excel in their roles and align closely with the strategic direction of the enterprise.
Lead the IAM function within the broader cybersecurity organization, emphasizing cross-functional collaboration with global IT, cybersecurity, legal, and business units. Ensure that IDAM strategies are integrated across all departments and regions, driving secure, seamless access management that aligns with organizational objectives and business operations.
Oversee the development and implementation of a global IDAM governance framework that enforces robust policies, standards, and controls. Ensure compliance with international regulatory and industry standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR, PCI), and drive continuous monitoring and auditing of IDAM processes to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.
Establish and enforce governance for third-party vendor access to corporate systems, ensuring continuous monitoring and adherence to stringent security standards. Collaborate with procurement, legal, and risk teams to ensure third-party access complies with global regulations and internal security policies. Implement robust monitoring and control mechanisms to detect and respond to any access-related incidents, mitigating risks associated with external partners and vendors.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive reporting framework for IDAM Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics, ensuring visibility into the health and performance of IDAM processes. Regularly report to executive leadership on key metrics such as access management efficiency and compliance status. Provide actionable insights to drive continuous improvements, ensure alignment with business objectives, and support decision-making at the highest levels.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with global IDAM technology vendors, ensuring the organization leverages best-in-class solutions that align with business goals and security requirements. Ensure that technology investments align with the organization’s global scale and future-proof the IDAM infrastructure. Regularly review the vendor landscape to stay ahead of industry advancements and maintain the organization’s competitive edge.
Serve as the primary advisor to executive leadership on IDAM strategies, providing insights into risks, opportunities, and the evolving global landscape of identity and access management.
Primary interactions will not only be with Information Security and IT leaders, but with stakeholders at all levels across the organization.


What You’ll Need

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field
A miniumum of 8-10 years of experience in identity and access management, cybersecurity, or related areas, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role. Experience leading global IDAM programs is essential, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements such as SOX, GDPR, and PCI, as well as industry best practices. Experience managing third-party vendor relationships and evaluating IDAM solutions with a focus on scalability and global implementation. Demonstrated ability to provide strategic leadership for cross-functional teams, particularly within cybersecurity, IT, legal, and business units, and have a proven track record of recruiting, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams, with a focus on leadership of leaders.
Possession of relevant professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is highly desirable.


What Will Set You Apart

Strong understanding of IDAM technologies such as identity governance, multi-factor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO), and privileged access management (PAM).
Experience with IDAM platforms like Okta, SailPoint, Microsoft Azure AD, and similar solutions.
Ability to design, implement, and manage complex identity lifecycle management processes across global environments.
Strong vendor management skills, with experience negotiating and managing contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) for IDAM solutions.
Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams, fostering collaboration across cybersecurity, IT, legal, and business units.
Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to proactively identify and address security risks.
Experience driving organizational change and managing large-scale projects in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Excellent communication and executive presentation skills, capable of translating technical concepts into business language for senior leadership.
Strong decision-making abilities, balancing business needs with security requirements and compliance.
Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in IDAM, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of identity and access management innovations.
Proven track record in integrating IDAM frameworks with cloud and on-premise environments for secure, efficient access control.
