Under the guidance of the Director for oil market analysis and in coordination with the Global Coordinators of crude oil and product analysis in Geneva:
Oversee the collection and processing of supply, demand, and trade data to ensure seamless integration with the Global Oil Balance. Drive improvements in data collection methodologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Generate weekly reports on key oil products, forecasting demand and supply while tracking import/export trends by PADD. Collaborate closely with Geneva-based refinery analysts to refine assumptions on capacity, operating rates, and product yields.
Provide leadership and guidance to junior crude oil and product analysts in Houston, ensuring high-quality production of weekly U.S. oil balances and monthly forecasting of North American crude and condensate supply. Foster collaboration with global analysis coordinators to align regional insights with global strategies.
Oversee and mentor graduates during their 6-month training rotation within the market analysis team. Support their development in oil balance production while providing coaching to cultivate analytical expertise.
Provide critical research and trend analysis through Microsoft Teams forums and email alerts, ensuring traders (both physical and derivatives) receive timely updates to navigate shifting market dynamics effectively.
Lead the development of compelling data visualization dashboards (Power BI) to support evolving trading desk and research needs. Generate qualitative and quantitative reports, including API statistics, EIA reports, and rack sales charts for gasoline and diesel.
Ensure key analytical insights from international desk analysts are relayed effectively to local teams, strengthening global collaboration and alignment in market research
Promote a collaborative work environment that fosters inclusiveness, teamwork, and adherence to ethical conduct principles aligned with TotalEnergies' corporate values.
While closely working with the trading desks, the position is hierarchically independent and reports functionally to the TOTSA Director of oil market analysis based in Geneva and locally to the Head of ATMI in Houston.
