To lead and support the Internal Audit team in the delivery of its internal audit activities. The focus of this role is leading and executing audit work as part of the annual audit program and internal control over financial and sustainability reporting audit programs, and completion of thorough quality assurance reviews of key internal and external documents.
- Leads the planning and execution of operational audits, including the development of comprehensive audit plans based on risk assessments of the Company's key business objectives, contributing to the execution of the annual audit plan that supports management in achieving its business objectives.
- Executes the evaluation of design and operating effectiveness of internal control over financial and sustainability reporting in accordance with control testing compliance requirements.
- Executes thorough quality assurance reviews for all key disclosure documents and regulatory filings.
- Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to foster collaboration in identifying opportunities for improvement and implementation of best practices for the Company's processes and control environment.
- Supports with other tasks deemed relevant by the Supervisor, Internal Audit or Senior Manager, Internal Audit to progress other areas of internal audit and its mandate.
- Bachelor's degree in business with a focus on finance or accounting.
- 3 to 5 years of internal audit, external audit, risk management and/or controls experience.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and relationship management/interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.

- Excellent analytical skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Results-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Understanding of generally accepted finance and accounting policies and/or IIA Global Standards.
- Experience in utility industry. (preferred)
- Chartered Professional Accountant in-training or designation. (preferred)
- Certified Internal Auditor in-training or designation. (preferred)
- Experience with control testing for Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance. (preferred)
- Experience with control testing for environment, social and governance compliance. (preferred)
