We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

Dominion Energy’s Audit Services team is a top-tier audit function focused on delivering high-quality assurance and advisory support to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated Senior or Lead Auditor to join Audit Services. The Senior or Lead Auditor will plan, organize, and perform audit and advisory engagements by:

As a Senior Auditor, one plans, organizes and performs complex financial, operational and compliance audits.

Duties include:

- Applies advanced audit concepts and techniques to document, analyze and evaluate systems of internal controls.

- Routinely directs efforts of audit team to accomplish audit objectives.

- Identifies significant audit findings, develops appropriate recommendations for improvement and then communicates to management through written reports and oral presentations.

- Provides consulting services to management on accounting, controls or operational issues.

- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

As Lead Auditor role plans, organizes and performs audits of a complex or specialized nature.

Duties include:

- Provides day-to-day advice, training and leadership to assigned staff or less experienced Auditors.

- Regularly leads audits and assigned teams and provides project oversight including preliminary workpaper review, monitoring follow-up of audit observations and tracking audit performance metrics.

- Assists in selection, training, evaluation and motivation of audit staff.

- Communicates results of audits to management through written reports and oral presentations.

- Provides consulting services to management on internal controls, accounting and operational issues.

- Takes on additional responsibilities leading departmental planning activities, risk assessment and provides significant contribution toward attainment of goals.

- Will also act in a lead role on department administrative activities as well as special projects and assignments as needed.

Note: This position can be filled in Cayce, SC or Richmond, VA. This position will work a hybrid work schedule (some days in office, some days working remotely).

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Senior Auditor: 5+ years of audit or related experience (such as accounting, finance).

- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

- Proficient project management and organizational skills.

- Consistently meets or exceeds customer expectations.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.

- Ability to grasp new concepts and learn quickly.

- Strong knowledge of accounting and auditing standards is preferred.

- Strong personal computer skills and computer auditing techniques.

- Knowledge of and experience with IT audits, internal controls, compliance, and/or SOX 404 is a plus.

Lead Auditor: 6+ years audit experience or 4+ years of public accounting experience. (Note: A Master's degree can count towards one year of experience).

- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to understand the business and its control environment.

- Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to engage, influence, and motivate.

- Passion for coaching and investing in your team.

- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting and/or auditing standards.

- Strong decision-making skills.

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

- Certified Info. Systems Auditor (CISA)

- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)

- Certified Pro. Enviro. Auditor (CPEA)

- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
