The Senior Internal audit position provides support in conducting SOX, financial, operational, and compliance audits to assess risks and improve internal controls. This position will also engage in collaborating with management to develop and implement internal controls and recommendations for corrective actions. Additional responsibilities include developing audit plans, performing fieldwork, creating detailed workpapers, narratives and process flowcharts, as well as communicating findings and solutions to stakeholders.
Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

- Audit Execution: Lead and perform SOX, financial, operational, and compliance audits from start to finish.
- Risk Assessment: Collaborate with IA management in Identifying business risks and evaluating the design and effectiveness of internal controls.
- Compliance & SOX: Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies, including walking through and testing Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare accurate, logical, and detailed workpapers, narratives, flowcharts, reports, and findings to clearly communicate audit results and conclusions.
- Recommendations: Develop meaningful, actionable recommendations for management to address identified risks and inefficiencies.
- Follow-Up: Work with management to ensure that agreed-upon corrective actions are implemented and to track their remediation.
- Perform other related duties as required.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Graduation from an accredited university or college with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Public Administration, Economics or a related field which may include elementary, intermediate and advanced accounting, auditing, cost accounting, business law and other business-related courses.
- 3 years of relevant work experience in business operational internal audit, financial audit, technology systems audits, information security and privacy audits, or top-tier consulting organizations ("Big 4").
- CIA or willingness to pursue certification; or One professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, CGEIT, CAMS, CFCS).
- Knowledge of theory, principle and practice of auditing, including the methods and procedures used to examine, verify and analyze operational records, statements and reports.
- Knowledge of Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Institute of Internal Auditors)
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
- Travel 25% of the time
- Data analytics experience (e.g., SQL, SAS, CAATs, IDEA, ACL, Monarch, Tableau, Spotfire).
- Artificial Intelligence experience
