The Senior Customs Broker will meet and exceed customer needs and expectations by ensuring successful and timely processing of customer import transactions.
· Customs Broker License or CCS certificate preferred.
· 5+ years experience in air & ocean customhouse brokerage.
· Strong knowledge of CBP rules and regulations.
· Strong knowledge of the HTS and commodity classification.
· Strong knowledge of various transportation modes including air freight, LCL, FCL as well as knowledge of domestic trucking and rail movements.
· General knowledge of geography and international transactions as related to the forwarding industry.
· Ability to perform/prioritize multiple tasks to meet various deadlines.
· Self-motivated and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
· Proficiency in general office computer skills – Email, internet, Microsoft office products.

· Process the entire import brokerage transaction (opening files, communications with clients and service providers, monitor shipments from origin to final destination).
· Coordinate transportation with overseas agents as well as domestic partners.
· Resolve transportation and brokerage issues (handle transportation claims, act as intermediary between trucking and international provider, airlines, steamship lines, Customs, and other government agencies associated with brokerage transactions).
· Provide prompt, courteous and proactive service to customers.
· Seek opportunities to promote the company and gain additional business.
