Owen Oil Tools is seeking an experience CNC Machine Operator for our Red Deer manufacturing facility.
Under limited supervision, operate and monitor production equipment to perform tasks of substantial variety and complexity.
· Send programs from the computer to the machine controller
· Verify material supplied is adequate for job
· Follow tooling instructions according to setup sheet
· Check that all dimensions on first machined part coincide with drawings
· Constantly verify correct product dimensions throughout production run
· Log time spent on each job machined
· Maintain a clean and organized area & empty chip bins
· Assist other operators with setup and machining problems
· Knowledge of tooling and the ability to choose alternate tooling if required
· Knowledge of new tooling available to increase production efficiency
· Skilled at, and knowledge of, measuring instruments and usage
· Ability to setup all tooling needed for product job
· Able to recognize and solve any machining problems that arise
· Able to perform light maintenance on machines
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

· This position resides within a machine shop working environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
