About This Job
CNC Operator
Job Summary
Responsible for operating CNC machines to produce precision metal parts. Produce small batches or large quantities of parts. Ensure products meet precise specifications in a fast pace environment.
Primary Responsibilities
•
Operate machine tools such as lathes, and milling machines to produce parts utilizing a variety of materials.
•
Review blueprints or specifications for a job.
•
Position workpiece on the lathe or milling machine.
•
Ensure workpiece is properly lubricated and/or cooled.
•
Detect problems by observation and listening for specific sounds.
•
Inspect parts with precision measuring tools
•
Replace dull cutting tools.
•
Check accuracy of work against blueprints, specifications and record measurements
•
Produce large quantities of parts.
•
Perform other essential duties as directed by supervisor
Primary Requirements
•
Machine operator experience
•
Ability to read and use gauges, micrometer and calipers
•
Ability to read prints
•
Ability to read and follow documented instructions
•
Adhere to health and safety requirements
•
Teamwork and communication skills
•
High school diploma or equivalent
Job Type: Full-time
