We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join our Products team. This individual will focus primarily on front-end development within the Palantir Foundry platform, working closely with the Ontology team to deliver user-facing applications that support business operations and strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in BI development, excellent problem-solving skills, and demonstrated experience in AI/ML modeling and forecasting techniques. They will also be able to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Serve as the senior developer for Palantir front-end solutions.
- Build intuitive, scalable, and performant front-end applications within the Palantir Foundry platform.
- Develop and integrate AI and machine learning models within Palantir Foundry to support predictive analytics, operational forecasting, and optimization efforts.
- Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional, user-centric solutions.
- Leverage Palantir tools and frameworks to develop dashboards, workflows, and interactive visualizations aligned with business goals.
- Partner with the ontology team to define semantic data models that support business needs and front-end applications.
- Ensure seamless integration with underlying ontologies and data models, maintaining consistency and accuracy across applications.
- Ensure that all front-end solutions align with Kinder Morgan data governance and compliance standards (e.g., Data privacy for MFE’s, audit logging).
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and testing activities to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Provide guidance on best practices for Palantir development and contribute to the evolution of internal development standards.
- Configure and enforce row- and object-level security protocols across BI platforms.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within development and support teams, promoting efficiency and innovation.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in Palantir development is REQUIRED.
- 2–5 years of experience in a multi-disciplinary IT environment, with strong expertise in data analysis, data modeling, and data governance.
- Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining AI and machine learning models in a business setting, ideally within Palantir Foundry.
- Hands-on experience with forecasting models (e.g., time series, regression, anomaly detection) and ML workflows.
- Demonstrated leadership in architecting, designing, and developing solutions that exceed business expectations.
- Develop code workbooks within Foundry to support dynamic behavior and data-driven functionality in applications.
- Strong programming skills in SQL and Python are required.
- Experience developing front-end applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, or React is highly desirable.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and cloud-based data tools is a plus.
- Proficient in translating business requirements into logical and physical data models, adhering to best practices and standards.
- Familiarity with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI, SSRS, and Business Objects is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across all organizational levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), related technical field, or equivalent experience.
