Arevon is recruiting for the position of Senior Analyst - Financial, Planning & Analysis (FPA), an outstanding opportunity for individuals seeking an exciting, high-growth work environment in one of the most important industries for the 21st century. Reporting to the Manager, FPA, the Senior Analyst, FPA will perform a range of financial duties as part of the team and autonomously within the CFO Organization of the Arevon.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: FPA’s primary responsibility is to connect senior management’s long term “strategic plan” to reality. This person will help support this top-down, senior management driven document that will set high-level targets (revenue, net income, core strategic initiatives, etc.) for Arevon from 1-5 years in the future. FPA’s job is to develop the operating and financial plan required to achieve management’s strategic plan.
- Develop financial models (with emphasis on project finance) and analyze them to support strategic initiatives.
- Decision Support: the FPA will also use data to advise management on decisions such as how to improve performance, minimize risk or capture new opportunities from within Arevon. FPA is charged with providing a Monthly Reporting Package in addition to other periodic reporting packages to senior management which include:
- Analysis of historical financials
- Variance explanations
- An updated forecast with risks and opportunities to current plan Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Ad-hoc business performance reporting
- Implement a business intelligence tool and dashboard reports.
- Support management team and the Heads of Department with data-driven analyses.
- Ability to work autonomously with little supervision while continuously ensuring alignment with the team and organizational goals.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in Finance and or FPA.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or related fields, master’s degree a plus.
- Working knowledge of financial statement analysis under the U.S. GAAP framework.
- Proven record of working well within a team environment, taking ownership of processes and procedures.
- Excellent people skills, initiative-taking and results oriented, process oriented with strong
organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, etc.
- Experience using business intelligence tools such as PowerBI and SQL.
- Strong working knowledge of NetSuite and related accounting information systems, or related applications.
- Experience in modeling financing transactions with emphasis on project finance including debt and tax equity.
- Advance modeling skills using excel, macros, power query etc.
- Relevant work experience with a renewable energy company, a nationally ranked public accounting firm, or a PE firm.
- Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications in renewable energy space.
- Working knowledge of building and reviewing 3-Statement financial model.
- Professional certification, including but not limited to CPA and CFA, at various levels.
