The Senior Accounts Payable (AP) Analyst is responsible for leading the documentation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure process excellence and compliance. This role will focus on identifying inefficiencies within the AP workflow, recommending solutions, and implementing process improvements to enhance automation, reduce errors, and optimize overall efficiency across the accounts payable function.
The compensation for this position will be commensurate with education or work experience.
- Leads the automation of annual tax reporting (1099 and 1042) across all company entities, ensuring systems and workflows deliver accurate and timely compliance.
- Implements automated vendor management solutions to minimize active vendors, enforce preferred vendor usage, and schedule periodic master file clean-up through system-driven processes.
- Designs escalation triggers within automated approval systems to reduce manual follow-up and ensure timely resolution of invoice-related issues.
Develops and oversees automated invoice validation and approval workflows for payables, ensuring seamless integration with third-party applications and adherence to payment terms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Associate degree or equivalent professional experience considered.
- AP or finance certifications (e.g., APM, CAPA, CPP) a plus.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a finance related position.
- Analytical and auditing skills will be a must, this is not a processing position as this position is focused on Center of Excellence and Process improvements.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud, Account Payable and OTBI reporting a plus.
- Process-driven with an aptitude for change.
