We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounts Payable (AP) Analyst to support our finance department in managing vendor relationships, processing invoices, and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations. This position will report to Manager of Accounts Payable & Land Contracts.
- Invoice Processing:
Efficiently and accurately process a high volume of invoices from vendors and landowners, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Vendor Relationship Management:
Maintain positive relationships with vendors, promptly resolving any discrepancies or issues related to invoices, payments, or account statements.
- Expense Reconciliation:
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate accounting records and timely payments.
- Data Entry and Documentation:
Enter invoice and payment data into the accounting system accurately, maintaining complete and organized records for audit and reporting purposes.
- Payment cash clearing:
Execute payment cash clearing activities, including reconciling payment batches, matching cleared items to invoices, and resolving discrepancies with Treasury and AP teams.
- Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Assist in generating financial reports and analyses as needed.
- ERP Implementation Support:
Assist in the implementation of the ERP system, particularly SAP (S4/Hana) Public Cloud, and Coupa, by providing input, testing functionality, and facilitating training for AP processes.
- Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in the AP workflow, implementing best practices to streamline operations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal departments such as procurement, finance, and operations to resolve issues, provide support, and streamline processes related to AP activities.
- Associate or bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or related financial role, preferably in the renewable energy or solar industry.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP (S4/Hana) Public Cloud and Coupa, is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards is a plus.
