Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)
Responsible for classifying expenditures, reconciling general ledger accounts, and preparing general ledger entries. Analyze data and report variances to senior management. Responsible for managing close process for assigned accounts and completing all required closing tasks within allowed timeframe. Prepares all consolidated financial reporting packages for the Calpine corporate office including income statements, balance sheets, cash flows, variance analysis and any additional reports requested. Will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and various analyses for corporate headcount projections and total compensation.

- May be designated project or technical lead for an ongoing process or short-term project within own department.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required, CPA strongly preferred or equivalent.
- Journey – level; typically requires 4-6 years’ experience.
