Security Guard

Guards entrance gate to facility. Opens gate to allow entrance or exit of employees and authorized visitors. Checks credentials or approved roster before admitting anyone. Logs each person that enters facility on daily visitor log. Issues pass to authorized visitors. Directs visitors to various parts of facility. Inspects outgoing traffic to prevent unauthorized removal of company property or products. May be required to walk facility in order to watch for irregularities, such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked and then report irregularities to his supervisor. After normal working hours, guard will notify sheriff department or fire department by phone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons. Required to clean gate house at the end of each shift. May be required to do ground maintenance around the gate and gate house. You must be able to make it to and from work location for shift(s).
