A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A SCRAP METAL - NON-FERROUS LABORER:

In this role, your average day will be filled with exciting and impactful tasks. You will assist customers in Hazel Green, AL, and the surrounding areas in unloading non-ferrous materials, providing exceptional service and ensuring a smooth process. Additionally, you'll utilize your expertise to identify and grade various non-ferrous metals accurately, maintaining our high-quality standards. Your attention to detail will shine as you identify non-conforming or unacceptable types of scrap metal, playing a crucial role in upholding our operational integrity.

As part of the buying process, you'll contribute your insights and support our procurement activities. Operating small material handling equipment such as sit-down forklifts or skid steers, as well as utilizing handheld tools. Your commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area will contribute to a safe and productive environment. When needed, you'll assist in the yard, ensuring efficient operations overall. Continuous learning is a key part of your role, as you will attend internal meetings and participate in required training.

- Knowledge of metal grades

- Basic math and computer skills

- Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
