COSL Canada Limited is looking to fill a position in our Supply Chain Team with an individual who has knowledge of proper procurement processes and high computer literacy. This is a full-time position as contractor with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position.
- Responsible for implementing the procurement procedures for CCL's service & material procurement projects assigned by the procurement supervisor & manager.
- Receive and review PR documents from Operation team and support PR package preparation, determine the procurement strategy according to policy, follow up CCL management and HQ PR approval.
- Responsible for implementing the bidding and evaluation procedures for the procurement projects handled by oneself, and ensuring the compliance of the procurement procedures, which should meet the requirements of laws and company policies.
- Responsible for the management of the contracts handled by oneself, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating and finalizing contracts with suppliers. Ensure that the contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements and reflect the interests of the organization.
- Track the validity of contracts to ensure that the re-bidding or renewal of expiring contracts is completed in advance etc.
- Communicate regularly with the operating team and suppliers on the performance of the contract if necessary to ensure the compliance of the contract execution and protect the interests of the company.
- Building and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the contract lifecycle, protecting the company's brand reputation in the industry from the perspective of SCM.
- Developing new vendors to expand the company's supply chain resources.
- Monitoring contract performance to ensure compliance with terms, conditions, and obligations outlined in the contract. Conduct performance evaluations on the performance of the contracts handled by oneself in accordance with company policies. Identifying and addressing any deviations or breaches of contract and taking appropriate corrective actions.
- Communication among stakeholders: communicate and discuss with stakeholders on relevant procurement strategies, bid evaluation strategies and concerns of all parties, etc. Regular communication with clients on SCM issues.
- Responsible for the archival management of the documents throughout the entire process of the procurement projects handled by oneself, ensuring the timely storage of the procurement process and contract archives, to maintain the authenticity, completeness and accuracy of the archives.
- Be familiar with and abide by the laws and regulations, regulatory provisions, industry norms and international treaties, rules and standards, as well as the company's articles of association, rules and regulations and compliance obligations related to the duties of the post, receive compliance training, and take responsibility for the legal compliance of their own behavior.
- Complete other tasks assigned by Procurement Manager, GM of department.
- At least 3-5 years of purchasing experience in Oil and Gas Industry is required
- Experience in purchasing in the drilling and completion sector is an asset
- Knowledge in procuring goods, services and rentals is required
- Experience in the drilling and completion sector is an asset.
- Experience in operating SAP or other electronic procurement systems.
- Good understanding of business processes, methodologies and information systems related to supply chain is required.
- Good communication skills and solution oriented.
