Plains is looking for a motivated and skilled individual to fill the role of SCADA Specialist. Working from our Midland, TX office and reporting to the Supervisor, SCADA, you will help ensure SCADA system reliability including system integrations and connected applications. In this role, you will play a key role in extending the functionality and usage of the AVEVA enterprise (OASyS) SCADA system and data integrations using MQTT technology. You are a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and analytical skills who possesses the ability to focus on customer service and adapt to shifting priorities and an ever-expanding knowledge base. This role also requires availability for scheduled on-call after-hours support.

Responsibilities:
•Provide AVEVA enterprise (OASyS) SCADA system support including SCADA administration, monitoring, and maintenance.
•Deploy display and real-time database changes to all SCADA environments.
•Apply and assist with testing for SCADA system hotfixes and release updates.
•Assist with Microsoft patching.
•Take ownership of MQTT environment and provide expert knowledge of data integration from field sites to corporate system.
•Provide MQTT system support to troubleshoot system communication issues.
•Work with Operations Field and Project teams to help identify communication requirements and new site setups.
•Support associated SCADA systems like TiPS LogMate, reporting applications, measurement systems, and data historians (PI).
•Work with IS support teams, SCADA support teams, or third-party support vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement changes, and help design future direction of systems and integrations.
•Work within our mandated MOC (Management of Change) framework to ensure documentation and regulatory compliance for all changes implemented.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field; or technical diploma and equivalent work experience
•Minimum 5 years’ experience working with SCADA systems
•Experience and/or familiarity with AVEVA SCADA Enterprise, MQTT technology and Protocols, AVEVA (OSISoft) PI, AVEVA Workflow Management, Microsoft Azure, and Data Integration Best Practices
•Ability to follow good development practices and software development life cycle methodologies throughout solution development
•Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills
•Ability to learn and understand new systems quickly
•Strong documentation skills
•Cleared criminal history (background) check and satisfactory reference checks
•Compliance with the company’s Drug & Alcohol Policy including pre-employment testing
•Valid state driver's license and driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers
