:
The Gas Scheduler reports directly to the Manager, Gas Scheduling, and will be part of a team that is responsible for handling the daily gas requirements and scheduling activities for all Cheniere LNG facilities. This includes submitting nominations to 3 rd party pipelines; regular monitoring of pipeline bulletin boards; tracking all activity in internal accounting systems; confirmation with upstream/downstream counterparties including resolution of any discrepancies; working with the LNG facilities to accommodate changes throughout the gas day. This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Houston office, Monday through Friday.
KNOWLEDGE:
General understanding of respective pipeline nomination procedures, tariffs, transportation services available, impacts of constraints, etc. Candidate is preferred to also have a good understanding of the US pipeline infrastructure, specifically pipes on which Cheniere does business. Additional qualifications include strategic thinking skills in order to have a basic understanding of trading decisions and be able to provide daily input on options for optimization.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
•Act as liaison between all counterparties including suppliers and customers, pipelines, storage operators and LNG facilities.
•Schedule and nominate daily and monthly gas purchase and sales deals with the appropriate pipelines throughout the gas day.
•Monitor and maintain gas balance during the day to ensure all bilateral obligations are fulfilled, and resolve discrepancies as necessary with counter parties
•Analyze and interpret gas supply information to ensure integrity of volumes
•Monitor electronic bulletin boards; report activity as appropriate for competitor activity, maintenance, and capacity constraints, etc.
•Provide operational reports regarding daily volume updates, next day volume updates and gas balances
•Verify and validate accuracy of all pipeline statements, resolving discrepancies as required and perform monthly actualizing activities before signing off for invoicing
•Work with pipeline and marketing customers, as well as the internal accounting department in order to ensure timely and accurate data is provided and billed.

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS):
Education and Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Accounting preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant business experience may be considered.
Experience:
•Scheduler: 1-5 years’ experience in, Gas Scheduling, Gas Accounting, or Gas Trading.
•Senior Scheduler: 5+ years’ experience in, Gas Scheduling, Gas Accounting, or Gas Trading.
Skills:
•Strong quantitative analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities in high pressure situations and respond in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy.
•Must be able to adapt and respond in a continually changing environment
•Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
•Computer savvy including Microsoft Office Suite consisting of Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

FREEDOM TO ACT:
Operates independently within approved guidelines, and with minimum supervision. Delivers pertinent information in a timely manner to management.
WORK CONDITIONS:
•Job is performed in a typical office environment, but is subject to time pressures and constraints, and is often dependent on input from others
•Often exposed to stressful situations
•Occasionally, work may be performed from home, after normal work hours or on weekends
•Periodically travel as business requires
•Will be part of an “on call” rotation with other schedulers
