Sales with AutoCAD Drafter experience

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled salesman with CAD Drafter experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inside sales and creating detailed technical drawings and plans using CAD software. This role requires a strong understanding of steel design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and architects. This position also requires interaction with customers in determining their requirements and design This position will play a crucial role in translating conceptual designs into precise schematics, ensuring that all specifications are met for various quotes that they will process.

Responsibilities

- Work with our customers in design and pricing of projects and collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand design intent and project goals.

- Utilize software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MicroStation, Revit, and Sketchup to create accurate models and plans.

- Review and revise designs based on feedback from team members or clients.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all drafting work.

- Maintain organized documentation of all drawings and revisions for future reference.

- Assist in the mechanical design process by providing input on design feasibility and functionality.

Requirements

- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MicroStation, Revit, and Sketchup.

- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and drafting standards.

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.

- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment.

- Previous experience in drafting or related field is preferred but not mandatory.

- A degree or certification in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field is advantageous.
