ABOUT THE POSITION
The Sales Representative will be responsible for working with customers and technicians on a day-to-day basis to generate new business, maintain existing accounts, and increase sales and market share through the use of various channels. AMP prides itself on our Core Values and welcomes the individual who shares those values. Responsibilities include generating sales of batteries, chargers, and service within the sales areas. Including forecasting, quoting, order writing ups, and meeting or exceeding all targets established in the designated territories. This is a full-time position out of our office in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Maintain and grow business within the Southern Wisconsin territory (generally defined as Sheboygan County south to the Illinois border; specific county coverage available upon request).
•Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers.
•Promote and sell division products and services, securing new orders.
•Effectively demonstrate products and solutions that align with customer needs.
•Prepare and present customized proposals and quotes for current and prospective customers.
•Analyze market potential and assess the value of existing and potential customers.
•Plan and execute a strategic personal sales approach to meet targets.
•Provide management with regular updates on customer needs, competitive activity, service opportunities, and market trends.
•Maintain strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
•Accept and perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President & General Manager.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
•Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
•High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential information.
•Strong work ethic, reliability, and a collaborative team mindset.
•Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.
•3+ years of experience working in sales.
•2+ years of material handling/industrial experience is a plus.
•Advanced computer skills.
