The Aggregate Outside Sales Role is responsible for marketing and sales of aggregates and related customer service in assigned territory. This position will build and maintain relationships with customers by offering “World Class Service” and helping our customers navigate the Oklahoma construction market as it relates to aggregates within these projects. This position will coordinate the sales process through Customer Relations Management (CRM) workflow, qualify leads, upsell to current customers, cold call prospective customers, and ensure customer satisfaction. This position will report to the Sales Manager- Aggregate Division.
- Responsible for following all safety policies and procedures.
- Maintaining a keen awareness of new construction projects developing within their assigned area.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain assigned customer accounts by ensuring quality and service.
- Ability to identify and work on establishing business with consumers of aggregates that do not buy or have accounts with Dolese Bros. Co.
- Maintain, update, and share all projects and opportunities in CRM to appropriate representatives within the Dolese divisions.
- Monitor CRM project list to ensure all projects within assigned territory are in the CRM system.
- Enter data for new projects that are generated through sales effort in the field or through sales calls.
- Assist sales coordinator by gathering data, including specs and quantities, used to generate quotes.
- Entertain customers thru attending meetings and events.
- Attend pre-construction meetings as necessary.
- Sales representative is responsible for their assigned service area that are receiving aggregate to make contact with the customers at the field level to ensure that we are meeting their expectations of service and quality.
- Ability and technical knowledge of aggregates, potential common problems and causes to effectively investigate complaints and convey findings and achieve final resolution of situation.
- Regular reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work location.
- Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
- High school graduate or GED equivalent and at least three years of customer service experience in construction sales or related role OR Associate’s Degree required
- Aggregate technical knowledge is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of local and rural geographic areas.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude that fosters effective relationships
- Greeting and assisting customers courteously on the telephone or in person.
- Maintain good safety and driving records.
- Self-motivated, organized and the ability to work without direct supervision while meeting deadlines.
- CRM experience is preferred.
- Willingness to work nights, overtime and weekends as required.
- Lift, push or pull objects of various dimensions up to 30 lbs. of weight frequently
- Ability to perform 80% sedentary work and tolerate prolonged standing / sitting / walking
- Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel repeatedly
- Ability to verbally communicate, hear, and specific vision abilities including close vison, distant vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
