We are seeking a results-driven Sales Engineer
to support the technical development and sale of
battery energy storage systems (BESS)and
critical power infrastructurefor data centers and large-scale energy users. This role acts as the technical bridge between the sales team, engineering, and the client—helping shape project concepts, qualify opportunities, and deliver high-value proposals.
This is a highly cross-functional role ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge, business acumen, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical resource in the sales process, supporting RFP responses, client meetings, and project scoping
- Work closely with Business Development to assess project requirements and define customized technical solutions
- Develop and present preliminary system designs, layouts, and performance models for BESS and power systems
- Lead technical due diligence for potential customers, including load analysis, interconnection evaluation, and site feasibility
- Collaborate with Engineering and Estimating teams to prepare proposals, pricing, and scope-of-work documents
- Support the preparation of technical marketing materials and customer presentations
- Stay current with industry trends, product developments, and competitive technologies
- Participate in trade shows, webinars, and events to support business development efforts
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy Engineering, or related technical field
- 3–6 years of experience in technical sales, energy project development, or engineering roles
- Familiarity with BESS, power distribution systems, switchgear, microgrids, or renewable energy technologies
- Strong understanding of electrical concepts: single-line diagrams, interconnection, load profiling, etc.
- Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, Helioscope, HOMER, PVsyst, or similar modeling platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
- Strong teamwork and customer-facing presence
- Willingness to travel (up to 25%)
