We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within the organization and at several locations along the Gulf Coast. This role involves conducting safety audits, developing safety programs, and providing training to employees on best practices in occupational health and safety.

Duties

•

Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with EHS regulations.

•

Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

•

Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.

•

Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, incidents, and compliance with workers' compensation laws.

•

Collaborate with various departments to promote a safe working environment and facilitate the fabrication of safe work processes.

•

Stay updated on EPA regulations and ensure that the organization adheres to environmental health standards.

•

Serve as a resource for employees regarding occupational health concerns and best practices.

Experience

•

Proven experience in a safety-related role, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.

•

Strong knowledge of EHS principles, workers' compensation law, and occupational health standards.

•

Familiarity with report writing and documentation related to safety audits and incident investigations.

•

Experience in conducting root cause analysis to prevent future incidents is a plus.
