Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs that comply with OSHA regulations and other relevant standards. This role requires strong communication skills, a proactive approach to safety, and the ability to conduct training sessions effectively.

Duties

•

Develop and implement comprehensive safety training programs for employees, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.

•

Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.

•

Perform root cause analysis for incidents and accidents, documenting findings and proposing preventive measures.

•

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of occupational health regulations, workers compensation law, and EPA guidelines.

•

Prepare detailed reports on safety performance metrics, incidents, and compliance status for management review.

•

Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety within the organization.

•

Provide first aid training and support as needed to ensure employee well-being.

•

Fabricate safety-related materials or tools as necessary to enhance workplace safety.

Requirements

•

Proven experience in a safety coordinator role or similar position within an industrial or manufacturing environment.

•

Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers compensation laws, and environmental protection standards (EPA).

•

Experience in training development and delivery related to workplace safety practices.

•

Familiarity with occupational health principles and practices.

•

Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

•

Certification in First Aid/CPR is preferred; additional safety certifications are a plus.

•

Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough investigations into incidents.

•

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
