Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting and ensuring a safe working environment across all operations. This role involves developing safety protocols, conducting training sessions, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and other relevant health and safety standards. The Safety Coordinator will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of safety within the organization.

Responsibilities

•

Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA standards and EPA regulations.

•

Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with occupational health regulations.

•

Facilitate training development programs for employees on safety practices, first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures.

•

Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

•

Maintain records related to workers' compensation claims and ensure compliance with workers' compensation law.

•

Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety awareness among employees through effective communication strategies.

•

Prepare reports on safety performance metrics and present findings to management for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

•

Proven experience in occupational health and safety roles, preferably as a Safety Coordinator or similar position.

•

Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, and workers' compensation law.

•

Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.

•

Experience in training development and delivery related to workplace safety practices.

•

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis effectively.

•

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage employees at all levels.

•

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
