Safety – Construction Site Coordinator (CSC)

Due to continued growth in 2025, we are seeking an additional Safety – Construction Site Coordinator (CSC) to oversee utility client site construction in New Jersey.
This CSC involves visiting active work sites including electrical substations and transmission right-of-ways and performing safety audits/observations of contractors work to ensure compliance with OSHA and our utility client’s safety rules and regulations, performing accident/incident investigations as required on client property or projects. This CSC will also act as a liaison between utility client and contractors on client sites.
Responsibilities:
•Acquire any and all training and certifications as directed to fulfill the requirements of the position through initial training and continuing education
•Assess risk and possible safety hazards
•Focus on prevention through safe work practices and employee training
•Share information, suggestions, and observations with company management to create consistency in safety standards through the company
•Present safety practices and principles to company management for consideration and implementation
•Meet client health and safety goals
•Respond to and investigate causes of safety incidents, accidents and injuries or unsafe conditions in the office or on a job site
•Report to utility client electrical substations and transmission ROW as needed to perform safety observations of contractors and enforce safety protocols by employees
•Successfully complete all utility client training to ensure onboarding and ability to work on client sites and access to all client facilities and maintain all training certifications
•Be completely familiar with all pertinent OSHA and client health and safety rules and regulations as they would pertain to the work being done and the enforcement necessary
Qualifications:
•5+ years safety construction oversite at electric utility client site including safety enforcement of OSHA and utility client rules and regulations
•Bachelors’ degree or AS Degree preferred in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene or a related discipline
•Experience in writing daily reports documenting work observed
•Exceptional ability to create and promote cooperation and teamwork
•Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
•Certificate in occupational safety and health
•Flexibility to travel to job site locations involving extended drives and stays when necessary
•Use of fire-retardant clothing and personal protective equipment (which will be provided)
•Logistical knowledge of electrical substations and transmission right-of-ways
•Ability to write technically on subject matter
•Ability to execute and pass all training
