Safety Specialist
As the Safety Specialist, it is your primary responsibility to conduct worksite assessments to identify the types of risks and hazards present and ensure the site meets all regulatory compliance standards.
Key responsibilities
•Administer drug testing/screening for employees hired in the field.
•Conduct Safety training as required.
•Maintain records of safety-related incidents.
•Conduct all customer specific training for employees.
•Acquire, maintain, and supply PPE and safety gear to field operators when required.
•Maintain a database of skills and certifications in HCSS.
•Keep safety-related records on the server as directed.
•Perform Worksite Observational Reports and make corrections as needed.
•Act as a resource on all project task activities, providing coaching/mentoring.
•Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety procedures.
•Promote safety culture improvement.
•Promote and participate in JSA.
Skills and Experience
•Handle OSHA inspections and investigations from initial conference through completion.
•Support construction management teams through consulting, team training, and inspection of jobsites and maintenance of the company safety program.
•Performed incident investigations to determine root cause and implement corrective and preventive actions to completion.
•Conduct daily safety inspections.
•Arborist experience preferred.
•Line clearance experience preferred.
•CPR Instructor preferred, OSHA Construction Instructor preferred, ATSSA Flagger Instructor Preferred.
