SMG is seeking a Safety Advisor in Lebanon, Indiana.
The Safety Advisor will support the site employees when we start commissioning and qualification activities.
Overview of Job Responsibilities
•Manage teams/departments, oversee program execution, and program ownership
•Partner with the project team to support the proper execution of all local/State/and Federal safety requirements
•Serve as a liaison between the client and contractors, fulfilling operating procedures and safety policies
•Partner with the project team and all trade partners to build and maintain a safety culture aligned with the client's vision
•Conduct safety observations and establish appropriate corrective actions for all unsafe conditions or practices identified during field visits
•Keep stakeholders informed of the safety performance of the contractors working on the project
•Facilitates Incident Reporting Procedures
•Provide safety "boots on the ground" resources for the client to ensure program execution
•Provide coaching to contractors when gaps are identified and communicate safety expectations
•Influence the proper execution of safety plans and participate in event investigations
Requirements:
•5+ years of construction safety experience
•Three-plus years of experience managing teams/departments, overseeing program execution, and managing program ownership
•Previous Commissioning experience
•Degree in Safety or related fields
•Previous safety leadership experience
•OSHA 30-Hour Construction Course
