Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our safety protocols within the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, particularly in construction environments. This role requires a proactive approach to risk management, the ability to build a culture of safety, and the implementation of effective EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) strategies.
Responsibilities
•Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
•Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
•Provide training and support to employees on safety practices, including the use of construction management software.
•Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety measures into construction management processes.
•Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
•Manage workers' compensation claims and liaise with insurance providers as necessary.
•Stay updated on changes in regulations related to occupational health, NEC (National Electrical Code), and other relevant standards.
•Build strong relationships with team members to foster a culture of safety across all levels of the organization.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
•Proven experience in EHS management within the construction industry.
•Strong knowledge of compliance management practices related to OSHA regulations.
•Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols.
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams.
•Proficient in using construction management software for tracking compliance and reporting purposes.
•Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CHST) is a plus.
•Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
