Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough safety assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Provide guidance and recommendations on safety best practices to management and employees
- Conduct root cause analysis investigations to determine the underlying causes of accidents, incidents, and near misses
- Prepare detailed reports documenting findings, recommendations, and corrective actions
- Deliver safety training sessions to employees on various topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response, and personal protective equipment usage
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in safety regulations
Experience:
- CHST or CSP
- Proven experience as a Safety Consultant or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough investigations and root cause analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and delivering presentations
- Proficient in using safety management software and tools
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
