Corporate Safety Manager
Job Summary:
The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing safety programs that align with company policies and comply with regulatory requirements. This strategic role involves overseeing safety protocols across multiple projects, conducting safety audits, and leading training sessions to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
Responsibilities:
•Develop and enforce company-wide safety policies and programs, including site-specific safety plans.
•Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
•Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
•Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.
•Oversee the training and certification of employees and subcontractors on safety-related topics.
•Stay updated with current safety regulations and potential hazards in industrial construction.
•Manage the reporting and documentation of safety incidents and compliance measures.
•Foster a culture of safety within the company by promoting awareness and best practices.
•Lead emergency response planning and crisis management.
•Maintain compliance with ISNetworld and Avetta ensuring all client grades reflect our commitment to excellence and safety.
•Responsible for obtaining and managing Certificate of Insurance (COIs), ensuring timely delivery to clients to maintain compliance in our partnerships.
•Responsible for maintaining a thorough understanding of MSHA regulations, ensuring compliance across all operations.
•Responsible for vetting subcontractors to ensure their adherence to our safety standards and regulatory compliance.
•Responsible for accurately maintaining and updating OSHA 300 logs to ensure comprehensive tracking and reporting of workplace injuries and illnesses, supporting our ongoing commitment to a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health, or a related field preferred.
•Professional safety certification (e.g., CSP, CIH) strongly preferred.
•Extensive experience in safety management within the industrial construction industry.
•Proven track record of reducing accidents and enhancing safety protocols.
•Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
•Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
•Proficient in using safety management software and conducting data analysis.
