As a Rural Pipeline Leak Surveyor, you’ll spend your days hiking through Manitoba’s scenic landscapes, from rolling farmland to rugged wilderness, playing a vital role in keeping communities safe.

This isn’t your average job—it’s a rewarding field position for those who value independence, teamwork, and a deep connection with the land. You’ll become an expert in gas detection and pipeline surveying through comprehensive, paid training, and then hit the trail with a close-knit crew, logging up to 30 km per day on foot while surveying natural gas transmission pipelines.

What You’ll Be Doing

•

Trailblaze through Manitoba: Walk long distances daily across a variety of terrains and weather conditions.

•

High-tech scouting: Use advanced gas detection tools and GPS mapping equipment to inspect and document pipeline infrastructure.

•

Be the first line of defense: Help prevent environmental hazards by detecting and reporting potential gas leaks.

•

Adventure with purpose: Travel the province with your crew, staying in new places and making memories along the way.

Requirements

•

Must be available full-time, including some weekends/overtime.

•

Willing and able to travel extensively and live on the road

•

Comfortable working solo in remote areas and navigating various terrains

•

Physically fit and capable of walking up to 30 km/day

•

No fear of dogs or working in isolated outdoor environments

•

Must complete and pass a paid training program (classroom and field-based)

•

Must be able to speak and write English fluently for communication and reporting purposes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
