Description Main Purpose:
The main purpose of the Rope Access Operations Manager is to manage the establishment and further development of both the commercial and operational Rope Access activities. The Rope Access Operations Manager also oversees all Rope Access related activities, equipment, procedures, method statements, risk assessments and other relevant documentation. They should act as the internal and external knowledge center in relation to the provision and performance of Rope Access services.
Essential Functions
- Define, implement and review a safe system of working for our Rope Access personnel
- Oversee, manage and review the quality and safety of Rope Access activities within the organization
- Prepare Rope Access projects in terms of planning, method statements, risk assessments, etc.
- Support our commercial department in the tendering and contracting phase
- Assist planning in the composition of Rope Access teams
- Support project management and manage Rope Access teams, as and when required
- Carry out regular workplace inspections
- Evaluate Rope Access activities upon completion of projects
- Identify training and development opportunities for key operative staff in support of the advancement of their careers
- Support the execution of the company’s safety programs and ensure compliance with HSES policies
- Participate in general commercial and marketing activities

- Must be able to lift and/or move 25 pounds and occasionally 50-75 pounds- BS in Business Management or 12+ years of Management level related working experience or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of the Rope Access industry
- Knowledge of and experience with Rope Access procedures

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

- Ability to deal with problems involving many variables in dynamic and constantly changing situations
- Efficient and competent with computer programs; intermediate or stronger skills with Excel and Microsoft Word, PDFs, etc.

Environmental Conditions
80% to 90% of the work activities are performed indoors. Individuals will be required to make occasional site visits.
