We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Technical Sales Representative to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our innovative powered rope ascender solutions to professionals in the rope access industry, including industrial rope access technicians, utility linemen, arborists, at heigh inspection & maintenance technicians, and more.
- Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets within assigned territories.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the rope access market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry influencers.
- Attend industry trade shows and conferences to network and generate leads.
- Prepare and deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrations.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals.
- Technical Expertise & Support:
- Provide in-depth technical training and support to end-users on all aspects of our powered rope ascender, including:
- Proper setup, operation, and maintenance.
- Safe rigging and rope climbing techniques.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Developing and implementing safe work procedures.
- Conduct on-site demonstrations and training sessions at customer locations.
- Gather customer feedback and provide valuable insights to the product development team.
- Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities.
- Travel:
- Extensive travel within assigned territories and potentially internationally will be required.
- Proven experience in technical sales, preferably within the rope access or related industries (e.g., construction, industrial equipment).
- Strong understanding of rope access techniques, safety standards (e.g., ANSI, IRATA), and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in technical, work method development and training.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- SPRAT or IRATA certification (or equivalent) is highly preferred.
