RNG Production Support Lead

Key Areas of Responsibility

- Work with the RNG site productions operations team to achieve and exceed designated daily, weekly, monthly and annual production targets.

- Measure and track key production and plant equipment metrics e.g. reliability, availability / conversion efficiency to enhance operational consistency and maximize uptime.

- Review and analyze plant operational efficiency, plant controls/trending analysis, plant subsystems performance, including media performance and plant energy / utilities efficiency performance.

- Review and analyze plant downtime and root causes of production losses.

- Provide agile troubleshooting support to quickly respond and address operational challenges to minimize disruption and maintain productivity.

- Support plant optimization efforts by identifying opportunities to optimize the performance of all RNG facilities.

- Provide operational inputs during the execution of improvement projects, including supporting the associated MOC process.

- Assist with establishing and maintaining operation processes/systems, standard operating procedures and safe work instructions as part of compliance and continuous improvement.

- Work with relevant stakeholders to identify equipment single points of failure and availability of critical spares.

- Assist with monitoring critical production process/systems performance and trends to ensure compliance with PSM, environmental and commercial compliance requirements.

- Mentor and train the Plant Operators and Controls technicians, including travelling to sites and assist as relief operator at any RNG site covering shifts.

- Support planning and travelling to sites during the execution of major plant maintenance outages including the optimization of outage plans to reduce loss of production and coordination of after outage lessons learnt reviews.

- Assist with ensuring all relevant plant performance data is available for use by the relevant compliance teams.

- Supporting the establishment of media tracking system, gas and condensate sampling and analysis to meet operability and compliance requirements and verifying that all GCs, analyzers and flowmeters are reading correctly.

- Other duties, e.g. support commissioning and operational readiness of new RNG plants or after major outages for existing plants.

Person Specification

- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

- Able to work under pressure and manage frustrations.

- Good organizing skills. Able to prioritize several competing priorities.

- Communicate accurately with employees, supervisors, and managers.

- Possess a high level of analytical and trouble shooting skills.

- Be able to remotely support site teams and plant staff.

- Knowledgeable on instrumentation and process control systems (Ignition/SCADA).

- Proficient using computers and monitoring equipment to measure, record and adjust equipment within operating parameters.

- Comply with all workplace, federal, state and OSHA safety guidelines and obligations.

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

- Prior experience with system start-up and operation of RNG plants.

Physical Demands

- Ability to read, write, hear, and communicate adequately to complete job duties and responsibilities.

- Must be able to see adequately to complete job duties and responsibilities.

- Part of the work is physical in nature. Ability to stand, sit, bend, squat, crawl, climb, stoop, walk for extended periods.

- Ability to lift 50 pounds.

- Ability to travel by automobile and/or airline for extended periods of time.
