Flagger Force, an industry leader in traffic control, is currently hiring a Resource Allocation Team Lead . This position will be based in our operations services center, part of our interactive corporate campus in Hummelstown, PA.
The Resource Allocation Team Lead supports daily dispatch operations, providing hands-on guidance to Resource Allocation Specialists. This role actively contributes to dispatch operations, acts as an escalation point for operational issues, and ensures alignment with company values, vision, and mission.
· Perform all Resource Allocation Specialist tasks and responsibilities with efficiency and precision.
· Work cross-functionally with all OSC departments, Field Operations, and Corporate departments; collaborate to identify and resolve client impacts, field operations needs/issues, and process improvement needs.
· De-escalate calls with clients and field employees and help support Resource Allocation Specialists with escalated calls.
· Promptly investigate and provide accurate information and procedural driven solutions to all employee/client issues.
· Maintain in-depth understanding of all dispatch markets, and support Resource Allocation Specialists by helping to identify personnel and equipment resource shift points and providing hands-on dispatch support.
· Work cross-functionally with other teams and team members to address organizational and operational challenges.
· Identify and communicate client order priorities for all markets.
· Monitor, balance, and reassign tasks and responsibilities within the Resource Allocation Team to maintain dispatch efficiency; communicate clear instructions on assigned tasks to team members.
· Guide peers in effective order entry, crew assignments, and dispatch decision-making aligned with internal SOPs.
· Coach logistics and resource strategy to peers.
· Plan and lead the coordination of personnel and equipment movement for new and emerging markets.
· Collaborate with Warehouse, Field Leadership, and Operation Services teams to anticipate and resolve order or asset issues.
· Produce daily and weekly reporting (i.e dispatch updates, escalation and capacity updates, market specific primary dispatch report, anticipated equipment needs, and weekend resource forecast) accurately and timely.
· Execute the OSC and RA on-boarding curriculum as needed.
· Develop and maintain Resource Allocation Specialist training materials, new hire schedule, and assist with orientation or training programs.
· Work with the Resource Allocation Manager to determine resource escalation needs
· Work with manager to establish metrics and monitor to ensure optimum utilization and efficiency of field employee and equipment dispatch
· Recommend process improvements and efficiencies based on dispatch operations and performance trends.
· Document and escalate client issues to the Resource Allocation Manager as needed.
· Work cross-functionally with other departments to align dispatch of emergency orders and secondary dispatch with primary dispatch practices to ensure maximum efficiency of daily dispatch.
· Two (2)+ years experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
· Ability to build positive relationships and trust across several deparmental units to support optimal outcomes
· Utilizes computers and related technology, and expertly navigates proprietary applications and programs to research and providetimely answers to manager.
· Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage time to meet deadlines.
· Ability to proactively problem-silve and delegate tasks to avoid impacts to employee workload.
· Effectively coaches others on OSC processes and responsibilities
· Confidently understands and can communicate the PreCon standard operating procedures and ensures follow-through.
