Position Summary
The Development Reservoir Engineer will provide technical support in subsurface development planning and project management across a wide asset base.
Key Responsibilities:
•Drive development planning, working with a multi-disciplinary team to select and optimize development programs
•Support budgeting by preparing and presenting economic metrics for drilling prospects, asset optimization and capital projects as well as completing lookback economics
•Assist with the creation, organization and maintenance of inventory in coordination with engineering analyst and geology
•Conduct routine production surveillance of competitor’s wells and incorporate findings into development planning efforts
•Ensure key milestones, stakeholders, resources, and decision makers are clearly identified for assigned projects to ensure completion on time and within budget
•Create and refine type curves across asset base
•Identify, create and coordinate development of key Reservoir Engineering workflows
•Actively track progress of assigned projects against the project plan and ensure adjustments are made as required, communicating these changes effectively across the company
•Work with production engineering and geology to review subsurface issues affecting well performance and identify areas for optimization
•Support production optimization efforts of all wells and infrastructure, identifying and recommending opportunities to increase production, enhance well recoveries, reduce operating expenses and apply innovative and cost-effective optimization
•Run economics for workovers in assigned areas – coordinating with the production engineer
•Assist in maintaining production forecasts across several asset areas
•Assist in reserves evaluation as needed

Required Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science in Engineering
•5+ years of relevant oil and gas experience focusing primarily on subsurface development and asset evaluation
•Preferred Qualifications:
•Knowledge of database and engineering software, including Economic/Reserves Software (ComboCurve/ARIES/PHDwin), PowerBI, Spotfire, SQL Server, Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
•A background in data analytics and programming
