Reservoir Engineers in Anchorage play a critical role in evaluating and optimizing oil and gas production from subsurface reservoirs. They work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support field development, production forecasting, and investment decisions.
- Analyze reservoir performance using pressure transient analysis (PTA), decline curve analysis, and material balance.
- Design and evaluate well tests, flowbacks, and stimulation programs.
- Collaborate with geologists, drilling engineers, and operations teams to plan and execute development strategies.
- Conduct economic evaluations of development opportunities and recommend investment strategies.
- Support field development planning, including PVT analysis, core studies, and water compatibility assessments.
- Monitor and report on reservoir performance and recommend optimization strategies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
- 4+ years of reservoir engineering experience, preferably in conventional oil fields.- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g. Petrel RE).
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Alaska Cook Inlet operations is a plus.
