- Greet visitors and assist with inquiries in a friendly and resourceful manner
- Assist visitors with sizing and fitting of ski/snowboard equipment that will best fit their needs based on their level of ability, while maximizing comfort and safety
- Ensure the proper rental procedures are followed including confirming information on the waiver is accurate, equipment is scanned, and DINs are set correctly on skis
- Confirm that skis and snowboards pass visual inspection and that all issued equipment meets safety protocols
- Explain proper use of ski and snowboard rental equipment as well as general safety practices to visitors, ensuring they receive all information needed to enjoy a day on the slopes.
- Ensure that all documentation is completed and filed according to Rental Department protocols
- Receive returned rental equipment, following equipment check-in procedures
- Work in accordance with the Conservation Halton’s Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all other related manuals.
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Customer service mindset. Able to communicate confidently with both guests and coworkers
- Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Previous related experience or knowledge of recreational programming is an asset
- Experience with point-of-sale procedures is an asset
- Able to lift up to 20 pounds, stand, and walk/stand for long periods of time
- Successful candidates must complete and/or provide a copy of Bindings Certificate prior to first day of employment
- CH parks are not accessible by public transit; candidates should ensure they have reliable transportation.
- Starting at $17.55 per hour
- Part time and full-time hours available; hours may vary depending on availability
