About This Job

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial record-keeping, including maintaining and reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

•

Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes

•

Prepare financial statements and reports

•

Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger

•

Perform journal entries and assist with month-end closing procedures

•

Ensure compliance with SOX and regulatory reporting requirements

•

Assist with tax preparation and audits

Skills

•

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

•

Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting

•

5+ years of experience in accounting/finance, with at least 2-3 years focused on insurance or health plan regulatory reporting.

•

Familiarity with tax principles and regulatory reporting

•

Demonstrated experience handling regulatory filings through NAIC, Florida OIR, and CMS (HPMS) platforms. Familiar with completing NAIC quarterly and annual statement blanks and related schedules, filing financial reports with state regulators, and using CMS’s HPMS portal for plan filings

•

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
