What you’ll do as an Accountant
•Compile, analyze, and record financial data into general ledger accounts, ensuring thorough documentation of business transactions.
•Allocate expenditures, receipts, encumbrances, and receivables in alignment with established schedules.
•Conduct statistical analyses to identify financial trends, variances, and projections; prepare narrative reports explaining findings.
•Prepare and present balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports to summarize and interpret the company’s financial position for management.
•Audit contracts, orders, vouchers, and supporting documentation to verify transaction accuracy before settlement.
•Evaluate and approve financial transactions within authorized limits, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
•Monitor adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company accounting procedures.
•Investigate, resolve, and correct discrepancies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
•Install, modify, and document accounting systems and control procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
•Develop and recommend accounting processes related to reserves, assets, expenditures, and overall financial management.
•Conduct operational studies and provide actionable recommendations to enhance accounting practices.
•Collect and analyze data to prepare federal, state, and local regulatory reports and tax filings.
•Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

What you’ll need
•To be 18 years of age or older
•Authorization to work in the United States for this company
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
•One to two years of relevant accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
•Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
•Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
•Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, and meet strict deadlines.

Salary Range $60,000 - $ 70,000 year (based on experience)
