Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Regional Operations Supervisor to provide day-to-day oversight and leadership for operations staff within our Massachusetts service area. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing operational activities across multiple projects while ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency. The Supervisor will also manage staff performance, support client relationships, oversee reporting and documentation, and contribute to strategic initiatives across the region.
Duties & Responsibilities:
•Oversee daily operations of wastewater utilities across the MA service area
•Lead and support up to 10 operations team members, including scheduling, mentoring, and performance management
•Communicate regularly with clients and customers regarding operational updates and inquiries
•Ensure compliance with operational protocols and environmental regulations
•Manage vendor coordination, equipment procurement, and inventory tracking
•Support laboratory coordination, QA/QC processes, and sampling activities, including groundwater monitoring programs
•Promote a culture of health and safety; help implement corrective actions as needed
•Review and support implementation of operational improvements and updated procedures
•Participate in project transitions, including staff onboarding and vendor selection
•Collaborate with engineering and construction teams on upgrades and startup support
•Evaluate system performance and troubleshoot complex operational or mechanical issues
•Review reports and data logs to ensure plant efficiency and permit compliance
•Manage emergency response plans and participate in a supervisor on-call rotation
•Collect and analyze data related to unplanned outages and recommend preventative strategies
•Maintain documentation of maintenance, operational status, and system improvements
•Support housekeeping and equipment care at all facilities
•Participate in weekend, holiday, or emergency shifts as needed
•Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
•High School Diploma or GED required
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in wastewater operations and maintenance
•Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in mobile field operations
•Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders
•Ability to independently manage scheduling, prioritize tasks, and drive team results
•Demonstrated experience with regulatory compliance and reporting
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
•Familiarity with LogCheck or similar work order software preferred
•Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays as requested
•Must be willing and able to work overtime as required
•Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
+ MA Grade 4M Full Wastewater License required
+ Valid Driver’s License required

Compensation for this position will be based on the candidate's experience and relevant licensing.
The pay range for this position is $89,000 to $100,000.
